When I was a boy, about seven. My dad met a man named John Mace II. John was a fungus artist and a wood carver. He show me more the world of art than I ever seen before. He was like my other father. He past in '99 of cancer. The last week before he spent it gathering a box of special tools and things of his life. He left them to me. With a note on the inside that said “I see the spirit of the artist inside you. I past it on to you.” Around the same time I came up with the name Mystik Artz. A play on the name of me and my friends band Wycked Mystikz. I lost my way for a bit, but now I'm back with the memory and words of John to guide me.
